About

Clinical Assist is an innovative mobile application designed for physicians to efficiently record patient visits. Utilizing ambient listening technology, the app captures and transcribes conversations during consultations. Once the recording concludes, advanced AI generates a comprehensive encounter note, which is seamlessly integrated into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Approach

The project commenced with a focus on our primary user: the physician. We developed detailed physician personas to gain insights into their fundamental needs and common challenges. This understanding informed the creation of a high-level clinical journey map, outlining the ideal user experience for healthcare providers while ensuring alignment with patient experiences.

Journey Mapping

In the journey map, we identified key areas where AI and technology could streamline processes, ultimately saving time for providers. This analysis guided the development of our overall site navigation tree, which structured the necessary pages and features for our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and the initial release.

Collaboration

The success of the Clinical Assist project was a result of extensive collaboration among various teams, including UX Design, Research, Clinical, Product Management, Client Training, User Analytics, Technical Writing, and Development. This multidisciplinary approach ensured that all aspects of the user experience were considered and integrated effectively.

By focusing on user-centric design and leveraging technology, Clinical Assist aims to enhance the efficiency of patient visit documentation, allowing physicians to spend more time on patient care and less on administrative tasks.
